The Movie is outstanding with James Mason as Humboldt and Shelly Winters as the Mother and the girl who plays Lolita is fantastic. If you haven't seen it, you should. <br /><br />In the movie, and I don't remember if it was this way in the book, Lolita was a "mature" teenager who knew how to manipulate people, not to say she should have been abused, but I sort of felt like she tried to seduce him a bit so that she could travel, etc. <br /><br />It is a classic and I think it should be read and the movie is a must. <br />LisaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
