May is turning out to be another story: too much social life, long books, etc. But I will be happy reading anyway.Judy Kruegerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11632346091869688862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14124551.post-44687036250976170272018-05-07T07:05:56.801-07:002018-05-07T07:05:56.801-07:00Well done for reaching your goal of 12 books! Recently I read the brilliant historical fiction The Red Queen by Philippa Gregory and the inspirational God's Smuggler by Brother Andrew. Happy reading in the merry month of May to you too. :-)jessicabookwormhttps://thebookwormchronicles.wordpress.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14124551.post-28162098594342784512018-05-05T13:03:17.585-07:002018-05-05T13:03:17.585-07:00The Bear and the Nightingale was a wonderful read....The Bear and the Nightingale was a wonderful read. How do you manage to pull it off every month?! You run the gamut from Saul Bellow to Daniel Silva ha! classics to contemporary fare. I like mixing it up too: Denser reads with light ones thrown in. For a light read : Eleanor Oliphant did the trick for my April. thecuecardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08870323589682197091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14124551.post-41841809807420281542018-05-02T18:41:27.792-07:002018-05-02T18:41:27.792-07:00They will be forthcoming! They will be forthcoming!Judy Kruegerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11632346091869688862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14124551.post-28496723554512056612018-05-02T14:03:43.825-07:002018-05-02T14:03:43.825-07:00You've got good books in there. It's where she'd spend most of her days if she could... But she has a bad back, so has had to slow way down on her gardening and has had to hire a gardener to come in to help with things that are to difficult.Captivated Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15789205839634527219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14124551.post-34128471769865798122018-05-02T08:13:51.220-07:002018-05-02T08:13:51.220-07:00Jules Verne is a good bet for best book in a month...Jules Verne is a good bet for best book in a month. My yard and garden is a combination of native plants, succulents and a few flowers, so it is almost self sufficient but does need water and other care from me at times. I like digging in the dirt, etc but not as much as I love reading.Judy Kruegerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11632346091869688862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14124551.post-74427373761308330712018-05-01T16:24:53.252-07:002018-05-01T16:24:53.252-07:00Looks like you had another wonderful month of read...Looks like you had another wonderful month of reading!! Wow, 12 books read is an exceptional number during a month's time. I am having a slow year of reading this year. I only read 4 books total during the month of April and 20 books for the year thus far. The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne was by far the best book I read during the month of April.

Spending the entire day and evening of reading sounds divine!! I haven't done that in a while... You must have a beautiful garden!! I love spending time in gardens and in nature in general, but am not a fan of doing the actual gardening itself.Captivated Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15789205839634527219noreply@blogger.com
