A FAREWELL MESSAGE

Dear Bloggers and Followers,

Due to some psychic upheaval over the past few weeks, I have taken the decision to discontinue my efforts in the Blogosphere. I have kept Keep The Wisdom going for almost 16 years, a pretty good run. My original purpose was to create a "web presence" as it was called in 2005, to make some connections and build an audience for the book I had started writing.

I have made many wonderful connections. However the blog itself gradually took over and consumed more and more of my writing time. Thus I made less and less progress on the book. Since I will turn 74 years old this August, I must face some facts about the time I have left to finish the project.

It is a tough decision because I have made so many great friends here. I love and respect all of you and wish you the best in your reading endeavors.

I will leave the blog online for as long as the technology supports it. I'll be posting the books I read on Goodreads and Twitter, if you wish to follow me there.

Thank you so much for following me here, for sharing your blogs with me, and especially for all your comments.

Goodbye for now.

  2. I'm very sorry that I'll no longer have your blog to inspire me to expand my reading horizons, but I will follow on Twitter and Goodreads (although honestly I'm not really active on Twitter). Best wishes for finishing that book and good luck in all your future endeavors. I will miss your comments.

  9. I'm so sorry to loose my best blogger friend ever but I hope to keep hearing from you via e-mail.

I totally understand your decision, though, I hope you will get on with your book so we can all read it.

I have also just added you on Goodreads (I'm not on Twitter, sorry, I'm on Facebook and Instagram, if ever you open an account there ...)

Best of luck with everything. Love!

  10. OMG, so sorry to see you go. But I wish you a very fruitful time to finish your writing project. I just sent you a friend request on Goodreads, to be sure I follow your insightful reviews there.
Interestingly, this past week, I also made a major decision to simplify a big part of my life (my France Book Tours company).

  11. As everyone has said, I will miss not seeing your blog popup in my feeds but I completely understand and respect the decision you made. I am sure it was not an easy one but sometimes, we just have to do what's right and focus on what's more important. I'll miss you a LOT, Judy, even if I have only been a recent follower. Looking forward to connecting with you on Twitter and Goodreads.

I wish you good luck in your projects! Stay safe and healthy!

  12. Oh, Judy, I will miss you and your blog tremendously! :-( But I do understand how it can take over your life. I've been nearly a year myself with only a few posts. Life happens - or it doesn't. I understand, too, your assessment of time 'left'. It's on my mind every day.

How can I find you on GoodReads? There is more than one Judy Krueger, and neither has your photo.

    1. Thanks for understanding, Debbie! Really, more than one Judy Krueger on Goodreads? Here is my profile link, or whatever you call it. https://www.goodreads.com/user/show/3333943-judy
      Take good care.

    2. Thanks for the GR link! I think maybe the reason you didn't show up on the "Judy Krueger" search because you're just "Judy" on your profile. :-)

  13. Best of wishes to you, Judy!! I have enjoyed reading your blog so much over the past few years and will miss reading your reviews!

Sounds like you have made the best decision on moving forward and focusing on your book. I hope you will keep us posted on on the status of your book when you are finished with it.

I will follow you on Goodreads.

    P. S. Interesting you should decide to stop blogging now... This month, I've been contemplating on stopping my blog too as my CRPS flares are still an ongoing issue, which makes typing difficult and my reviews are suffering for it. Plus other life events are happening as well. I'll make my decision at a later date as to whether I continue or not.

    1. Thanks for your words, Lisa. I was just talking to a friend tonight who also suffers from CRPS, so I know how challenging it can be. I wish you the best no matter what decision you make about your blog.

  17. 16 years is a phenomenal achievement so I hope you take a moment to reflect back on that and congratulate yourself for keeping going so long when so many others fell by the wayside. It's sad to see you go but its more important that you do what you feel is best for you.

I'm going to miss you so much! You always point me to important and good books, so I will definitely follow you on Twitter and Goodreads.

If you, one day, decide to pick up the blog, hit me up! And if you would like reviewers for your book, which I know will be awesome, I'm here too!!

    Will miss you, Judy.
