SEPTEMBER READING GROUP UPDATE

My reading groups are on a roll. Lately every book is one I either already wanted to read or one I am happy to read. Still on Zoom though it may be possible to hope we can meet in person again someday soon.

  1. I do not belong to any reading groups. I am presently reading "The Snoring Bird" by Bernd Heinrich. As for on line meetings I am truly getting tired of them. It is ridiculous how much time I have been spending talking at a screen and I intend to "boycott" at least half of them from now on.

    1. I looked up The Snoring Bird. It sounds perfect for you. Await your review. I hear you on talking at a screen. I have noticed that our meetings get shorter and shorter!

    2. So am I. Looking forward to your review because, honestly, my TBR pile is growing so much, I don't dare to get any more books before I haven't read at least ten others.

  6. Those are already great choices! I really want to read Deacon King Kong--I love everything by James McBride! My reading groups haven't discussed any of the above--this month, we read A Bend in the Stars by Rachel Barenbaum and The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson respectively.

  9. These look like great books but I have not read any of them. I like that they are choices out of the box! Enjoy.
