BOOKS READ IN NOVEMBER

I had another excellent reading month in November with 14 books read. Only one was what I would call a long book, several were quite short, over half were written by women and over half were written by authors new to me. I managed to write reviews for all but the last two by the end of the month, but have only posted 7 of those reviews. My intentions for December are to catch up on posting all reviews and to make my yearly goal of 144 books read. Lest you think I am being too hard on myself, be assured that I am having fun doing this!

Stats: 14 books read. 14 fiction. 8 written by women. 3 thriller. 4 for My Big Fat Reading Project. 1 young readers. 1 science fiction. 1 poetry. 2 translated.

Countries visited: United States, Great Britain, Brazil, China, Germany

Authors new to me: Donald Hamilton, Louise Fitzhugh, Lydia Kiesling, Emily Fridlund, Cixin Liu, S J Watson, Philip Kerr, Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah

Favorite books: The Golden State, The Three-Body Problem
Least favorite: History of Wolves

How did your November reading go? Have you read any of these? What were your best reads last month?

  1. Another very productive month of reading for you. I'll be interested to see what you have to say about the Kerr and Fridlund books, although apparently you weren't too fond of The History of Wolves.

    1. The two books you mention are the ones I was the most conflicted about. My review of History of Wolves is third in the queue. I attempt to explain my problem with it. The Kerr also left me with mixed feelings. All in due time. Thank you for your interest.

    1. It got terrible ratings on Goodreads but I rather liked it.

  3. That looks like another good month of reading, with a lot of new to you authors. I'm behind with my reviews too, but will try to post as many as I can before the end of the year.

  4. Congrats on reading so much. I'm curious about Friday Black and The Three Body Problem. I have seen the latter a lot on my Amazon cartwheel lately and wondered. I look forward to all your reviews.

    1. Both of those were very good, I thought. Reviews are coming once a day if I can.

  5. 14 books is great! I only read 10 for this month and none of mine were that long.... I understand completely about reviews, I'm so behind on them that it's not funny! I love that you add the countries visited in your reading. That would be a great way to make sure you have diversity in your reading!

    1. Keeping up with the reviews seems to be a common problem with the bloggers I know. Probably because we would rather read than write reviews! It is so cool to note the countries I have visited. I need to visit more!
